FUTURES REPORT, CLEVELAND |
|
|
 |
Cleveland, OH
The Indians have started the season the way they ended the last season. Here is a breakdown of what they hope and expect to take the field in a few seasons.
The Indians have made a continueing effort to getting pitching help by drafting Torres this season and Griffin last season.
Future ACE - Carlos Torres, this guy is a 21 year old leftie. He has massive control and a great ability to hit the strikezone.
Future Closer - John Rowe, he has had a rough go if it adjusting from high school, but he still knows where his ability is going to take him. He gets the ball on the ground more then 70% of the time. And with the other players that the Indians are drafting, John will be successful.
Future Offensive Threat - 1B Bill Cantrell - He is already showing that he knows where the defensive players sit. X rates his skills at 7-8-3-4-8 and they are growing at an alarming rate. He is only 20 & should get the call in Sept and make the opening day roster in 2034.
Future Defensive Star - 3B Dan Coldiron - His ratings at 3B rival any potential starter in the league. He works hard and has the arm of a Nolan Ryan fastball and the range of a great fielder. With decent speed, him being 4-5-2-4-4 makes him top potential for the #2 spot.
